Woosaa saaa saaa--Read for tonights meet!!
Everything you need to know about our first meet!
First and foremost, this is going to be so much fun. Harper's point runs a pretty big meet but one with music and a party like atmosphere. The good news is even with as big as Harper point is we anticipate this meet being over before 9 PM!
Second, our coaches have been swordfish (swordfishes???) for a long time. They know a lot about swim meets and a lot about dive meets. They will be helping your children navigate the night as well as giving them feedback on how things went. Please send your children to go see them after they swim so they can talk to them about how things went. While I know this is a great time for you to see the coaches, please hold parent/coach conversations when the meet is not ongoing because they are trying to watch their swimmers.
Third, since this is our first meet, harpers point is going to really help us with any late entries. So if you forgot to sign your child up and you want to come tonight, we will figure out a way to work them into the meet, but you do need to let your child's coach know (contact info at bottom).
Fourth, we cannot run this meet without your help!!! We need workers for both the dive meet and the swim meet tonight. So if you kid is diving or swimming please sign up for a job: https://swordfish.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
Fifth, your swimmers will get cold by the end of the night! Bring sweats and blankets!
Sixth, if this is your first swim meet we have a helpful guide to marking your child's arm and reading a heat sheet on our website here. Don't sweat this stuff too much there will be lots of parents on deck to help show you the ropes.
